Having worked in a variety of positions for more than 20 years within the airline, I have gained valuable insight on how to successfully recruit for this highly recognised and loved brand. My current role, in collaboration with our in-house Resourcing team and Hiring Managers across both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays, is to source talent via a variety of methods that requires a certain creative flair and resilience.
Virgin is widely acknowledged for its people being the key differentiator in a highly competitive industry. It is therefore vital that great hiring decisions are made to ensure that people joining our teams (circa 9000 staff across both companies) contribute to the ongoing delivery of great customer service, alongside the professional teams that support the organisation. It’s not an easy role but it is immensely rewarding recruiting across a variety of disciplines from Finance to Marketing, Technology to Commercial, where creativity and intuition are cherished and where great service matters.
